Here I am writing the first words to the first blog post at simple ground. It is amazing how good it feels to finally start work on a page that I have been dreaming of for the last few years. This is probably as good a time as any to share my vision simple ground and to share a little about myself. I have a fascination with things that grow... animals, plants, ideas, dreams, feelings ... you get the idea. I also love to learn how to do things many different ways, especially how to do things myself. I love to study methods of self sufficiency, homesteading, self reliance or whatever term you choose. I also feel that modern technology is awesome, but so are many of the old technologies can't be beat. So over time I hope to record and share what I have learned and will learn as I walk the path of provident living. I also hope to make this a place for everyone to add their own perspective to the mix.
